Download the Lockdown Browser for Unmanaged (Personal) Computers (Chromebooks)

1. Go to "https://download.respondus.com/lockdown/download.php?id=175754166". This link is specific for Ethos School.
2. From the Chrome Web Store, select “Add to Chrome” to install the LockDown Browser Extension.
3. Accept all the default prompts to install LockDown Browser Extension.
4. Once the lockdown browser is installed you will launch your exam/quiz from your browser. Log in to the LMS, and then use the "Launch LockDown Browser" button on the quiz summary page.

In the rare case it does not see the extension please do the following:

1. Uninstall any Lockdown Browser Extensions.
2. Reboot the Chromebook.
3. Go to "https://download.respondus.com/lockdown/download.php?id=175754166". This link is specific for Ethos School.
4. Reboot the Chromebook again.
5. Finally, launch the web browser and immediately go to Ethos for testing and start the exam the student was working on. Please ensure that you do not navigate to any other extensions between booting the Chromebook and starting the exam/quiz.
